The climate and soil of this property give special characteristics from high altitude vineyards (1350 meters above sea level) to this variety differentiating it significantly from other traditional Malbecs. The high climate tapers the tannins;Tapiz Winery is one of the most technological wineries in Argentina, that combined with the best terroirs in Agrelo and the Uco Valley in Mendoza and in Cafayate, Salta, delivers superb wines to the market;Tapiz is Spanish for "tapestry," as in the tapestry between the wines high-altitude fruit and oak. The wine is called Black Tears because of the amazing color intensity. There is toasty dark blackberry, a hint of coconut, vanilla and mocha flavours and layers of tobacco and roasted almonds.
