73% shiraz, 17% grenache and 5% each of mataro and viognier, the shiraz co-fermented with viognier, the grenache and mataro separately, matured in French hogsheads (10% new) for 10 months. The wine has a zesty freshness that is normally associated with white wines, but without any suggestion of green fruit, just the vintage. There's every reason to drink this now while its bigger brothers go through their limbering up exercises.
