Sipes Rye Whiskey is a premium, four-year-old rye whiskey finished in custom hardwood-smoked barrels, blended, and bottled in the Hard Truth Distilling Co. rackhouse and distillery in Brown County, Indiana. APPEARANCE: Resplendent amber NOSE: Burnt sugar, maple, stone fruit, and leathery smoke with hints of thyme and clove. TASTE: Smooth and rich on the palate with subtle smoke flavor and notes of maple glazed ham, clove, pine nuts, Medjool date, heavy cream, and a spiciness reminiscent of a dry, grassy field. FINISH: Mild, featuring notes of maple sugar, warm apricot, oak, and spice that round out with hints of lingering campfire smoke and sweet mint.
