This premier cru Vosne-Romanée gives an intense flavour of the appellation considered the jewel of the Côte de Nuits. It comes from the 'Les Rouges (du Dessus)' plot in the Flagey-Echezeaux commune, adjoining the grand cru 'Les Champs Traversins' vineyards that yield the family's Echezeaux. 

A fine Vosne-Romanée such as this is all about elegance. The rich cherry and raspberry fruit, the structuring but velvety tannins and the energizing acidity are all in beautiful harmony, and the length and finesse of the finish make this magnificent wine a gourmet's delight.
