This Carmenere comes from Concha y Toro's historic Peumo Vineyard located on old river terraces above the north bank of the Cachapoal River in the Rapel Valley, 558 feet above sea level. This limited-production wine was aged in French oak barrels for at least 16 months. Striking yet elegant aromas of ripe dark fruits, spices, and black pepper are synonymous with Peumo's distinctive terroir. Oak aging lends delicious chocolate and vanilla notes to this voluptuous wine with sweet, round tannins and a long, elegant finish.
