Showing the boldness and sweet ripeness of this beautiful vintage, the 2015 Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore Bosan is an immediate and accessible wine that is teaming with rich, black fruit, exotic spice, tar and smoke. The blend is 80% Corvina and 20% Rondinella, and the wine undergoes the traditional ripasso method, in which fresh wine is re-fermented on the skins of Amarone grapes that saw 90 days of appassimento. After that, the wine goes into French oak for 12 months, where it gains in volume and spicy intensity. This is a good meat wine.
