Kasama is the "Sunshine Spirit." Crafted with care and infused with island optimism. This new rum is additive free and distilled in the Philippines from 100% Noble cane juice. Sugarcane is seasonally harvested between October and May in the fields surrounding the distillery, pressed on site and distilled in a copper column still. Aged for seven years in ex-bourbon American oak barrels, it is bottled without the use of flavorings, sugars or coloring of any kind. Sugarcane is native to southeast Asia and grows well in the Philippines' rich, volcanic soil. The Philippines is one of the largest rum producers in the world and while the distiller of this product is cannot be disclosed, it should be considered on par with the great Spanish style rums of the Caribbean and Central America.
